The Democratic Odyssey is a transnational campaign to establish a permanent people’s assembly for Europe. This nomadic assembly of several hundred people has met in Athens, and will meet online, in Florence and in Vienna in coming months, to better prepare Europe to deal with the coming storms. In Venice, individual members of the assembly, members of the European parliament and thinkers and activists working with the assembly will make a symbolic journey and arrive on the banks of Venice to invite the people of Venice to join the flotilla sailing towards greater democracy.
