Khlass les Clichés

Khlass les Clichés (which can be translated as “Enough with the clichés”) is a decolonial, antiracist, and feminist collective made up of Muslim women fighting against Islamophobia. Built as an engaged media outlet, the collective uses social networks and its website to deconstruct stereotypes and change narratives about Muslim women. Khlass les Clichés also aims to offer Muslim women a safe and supportive community to share their voices and encourage them to speak out publicly—because their voices matter. To that end, the collective organizes and participates in activist and sisterhood events where they create spaces for expression, transmission, and solidarity—where lived experiences are valued, struggles shared, and collective resistance strengthened.

Julie Lambrech, the workshop facilitator, has been active with Khlass les Clichés for nearly two years. Committed to antiracist and decolonial causes, she currently works in the field of community health, which takes an inclusive and political approach to health by addressing the weight of social determinants. She has specifically explored Muslim women’s access to healthcare and the Islamophobic discrimination they face within the healthcare system.
