Hana Kulhánková

Hana Kulhánková is a cultural manager, festival organizer, and queer activist based in Prague.

A mother of two, Hana obtained guardianship through court proceedings when her partner—the children’s biological mother—passed away, confronting a legal system that prevented her from securing full parental rights.

Throughout her career, Hana has served as the director of the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, one of Europe’s leading human rights film events, expanding its reach across the Czech Republic and internationally. Hana has been deeply involved in cultural projects addressing queer rights and visibility (Prague Pride Festival, Mezipatra Queer Film Festival, Queer Eye). Her work bridges art, activism, and community building, creating spaces where queer voices and stories can be shared and celebrated.
