
Marie-Julie Chalu
Marie-Julie Chalu is a writer and actress. She has performed under the direction of Emmanuelle Jacquemard, Matthias Claeys, Laetitia Guédon, Antonin Fadinard, and the Kthia company. She appears in Speak Up (Ouvrir la Voix, 2016) by Amandine Gay, a documentary about the experiences of Black Francophone European women facing racism and sexism. She writes articles (Africultures, Revue AssiégéEs) and poetry. As the founder of the platform Afropea (afropea.net), she focuses on documenting Afropean identity through research and artistic curation. Afropean identity refers to the experiences of Black people born and raised in Europe.
Marina Monmirel
Marina Monmirel is an actress trained at the Jean Périmony School and through various workshops with Eric Lacascade (TNB, Rennes), Alexia Saurat, Sébastien Bonnabel, Cyril Casmèze, and ACP Manufacture Chanson. Since 2007, she has performed in several plays, which allowed her to professionalize while studying and diversify her experiences, working with directors such as Gerty Dambury, Patrice Douchet, Antonin Fadinard, Lorelei Daize, Chloé Maniscalco, Thomas Bouyou, and Benjamin Jules Rosette. She is co-founder of the W Xool festival, which promotes Black women filmmakers and their works.
