Popline Fichot
Popline Fichot is an artist, dowser of stories who graduated from École Duperré in 2023. She lives and works in Paris. Her work explores the invisible and reactivates the memory of the tangible through oral narratives, contemporary myths, urban legends and snatches of speech. She questions the life of objects and our relationship with the dead. Her works combine unstable organic materials with existing metal structures, in a hybrid practice of moulding, assembling and modelling. Their workings are inspired by puppet theatre and stop motion. In 2021, she created her first performance Descendantes des sorcières at the Ménagerie de Verre. In 2023, she presented Les Fulgurées at Les Abattoirs – Frac Occitanie Toulouse. She exhibited Cabinet d’amulettes : Bones at Love&Collect (2022) and took part in Fine Dying (Institut suédois, 2023), Je est un autre (Galerie Sophie Scheidecker, 2024). In 2025, she was laureate of the Galerie du Crous de Paris.
