Workshop by Féministes contre le cyberharcèlement – “Gender-based Cyberviolence: Understanding it better to resist more effectively”

Far from being a marginal phenomenon, cyberviolence is widespread. It invades digital spaces, extending the violence and oppression already experienced offline.
Behind the threats, insults, cyberharassment raids, surveillance, and sexualized online violence lies an entire system of domination targeting women, children, and marginalized groups, one that is being reinforced and updated through new technologies.

This training session will explore the specificities of these forms of violence, their prevalence, current legislation, their gendered and structural nature, as well as the concrete resources, tools, and strategies that can be mobilized to improve support for victims and build both individual and collective resistance.
