Natalia Galgos presents the Greek premiere of THE SANDBOX, dir. Kenya-Jade Pinto, 2026, 90’

Through meditative, cinematic landscapes, The Sandbox explores global borders where surveillance and AI decide who lives and who dies. From the Arizona desert to the Mediterranean sea, suffering is clinically managed while control is packaged as security. But if there is no opting out, who is The Sandbox really protecting?
The film will be followed by a panel discussion with Lydia Emmanouilidou, co-editor in chief at SOLOMON, and other experts.

This screening is produced by Pixida Films, an impact production company working for a more structurally and visually inclusive world. It represents the first event of PIXIDA’S SERIES, a programme of monthly community cinema screenings inciting conversation and connections around themes of (in)visibility and representation in cinema.

Accessibility note: This is a relaxed screening. The sound levels will be slightly lower than usual and some lighting will be on to allow for people to move around safely during the event. A quiet space will be available during the event. There is level access throughout the event space and one accessible toilet is available on site.

Languages: English, Arabic, Greek, Somali.

This event will be run in English, with no subtitles in Greek.
