European Call for Migrant and Refugee Political Rights

Panel debates & assemblies. With Rasha Shaaban, Younous Muhammadi, Maguy Ikulu, Adla Shashati, Moussa Sangaré.

Migrants and Refugees should be given the same political rights as mobile European citizens, to vote in local and European elections. This panel will call for a Europe-wide coalition to make this a reality.

Migrant Youth Political Participation Training

Workshops & walks. With Maguy Ikulu, Niccolò Milanese, Rasha Shaaban, Younous Muhammadi.

We believe in meaningful political participation of refugees, migrants and people of migrant backgrounds. This training for young people under the age of 30 is about how to use the avenues for participation that are already available, and how we can work together to expand political rights for everyone living in our countries. It will build on different experiences of political activism in different parts of Europe, ranging from campaigning and protest to running for election.

This training is organised together with Greek Forum of Refugees and open to all on registration (limited number of places).

Winter Night: Closing Exhibition

Film screenings & exhibitions. With Eleni Riga.

Winter Nights brings together Norwegian, Greek and Icelandic artists in an exploration of seasonal rituals, animist worldviews and ecological memory. Curated by Eleni Riga, the international exhibition considers the meeting point between Nordic and Southern animisms, reflecting on climate change and ecological grief.

The exhibition will be open throughout the festival and remain open until 21:00 with a curatorial tour at 20:00.
